Hurricane Matthew

People on the island of Ile a Vache, Haiti are bracing themselves for the great impact that is due to hit in a few hours. It has been a very busy time preparing for the storm on the island of Ile a Vache, Haiti. Many of the towns people have taken refuge at the Good Samaritain School of Caille Coq. The building is packed. It is a blessing that we were able to build the school with the help of missionaries. It is a steady block structure making it a good shelter. Most of the homes have flimsy tin roofs and are not secure. I only wish we had room for more people. The winds are very strong and the rough seas have already broken several strong docks. Things were a little calmer in Port au Prince in terms of the wind strength, but the storm is on its way. Lots of rain everywhere in Haiti. Ile a Vache has already started to take a beating. We are praying for the safety of the people on the island. I've been told that the cities of Tiburon and Anse d'Hainault are flooded. Gardens and trees are already gone. Please keep us all in your prayers. The storm is due to hit hard at midnight...
